[quote] I find it strange that no one else joined up with AOC to do this. I also find it strange that she did this. She sure doesn't like being out of the limelight for even the shortest amount of time. Has anyone told AOC that she represents the Bronx? Why hasn't anyone else done anything or are they just being quiet about what they are doing?
I may be wrong but my take is that she really didn't "do" much.
She and Ted are notions rivals. Somebody started a fundraiser and asked her to publicize it so she tweeted it out to her 12.4 MILLION followers. I'm petty sure the initial ask was only a few hundred thousand dollars and, after getting that quickly, she upped it to a million, which she got easily by about 9pm. By morning it was up to two million. But her involvement was literally only initiating a handful of tweets which took on lives of their own. The in-person work is in concert with one of the Texas Reps.
I give her credit for getting involved, but, in reality, it only took about a hour of her time on the front end and only a few hours in person today--but the benefit will be exponentially greater.
