一、数词的用法-表示日期
1.月份和日期：具体日期用(the+)序数词，读法同序数词的读法。例如：
February 1(st) 读作: February (the) first 二月一日
December 17(th) 读作: December (the) seventeenth 十二月十七日
2.年：用基数词表示，三位数以内的年份可按照一般的基数词来读(或先读前一位，再读后两位); 四位数的年份从右向左每隔两位断开，再从左向右读。例如：
479 B.C. 读作: four (hundred and) seventy-nine B.C.
1860年 读作:eighteen sixty
3.世纪：the+序数词+century；例如：
the eighth century A.D. 公元8世纪
the 4th century B.C. 公元前4世纪
4.年代："the+整十年份的基数词的复数形式"表示在某个世纪的某个年代，基数词的复数若用阿拉伯数字表示，可直接加s，也可加's。例如：
the 1830s 读作: the thirties of the nineteenth century或the eighteen thirties 19世纪30年代
展开全文the 1960's 读作: the sixties of the twentieth century或the nineteen sixties 20世纪60年代
5.数词表示日期的注意事项
(1)英语中月份的表述及其缩写如下:
一月 January-Jan.
二月 February-Feb.
三月 March-Mar.
四月 April-Apr.
五月 May(无缩写)
六月 June-Jun.
七月 July-Jul.
八月 August-Aug.
九月 September-Sept.
十月 October-Oct.
十一月 November-Nov.
十二月 December-Dec.
(2)整百整千年份先按基数词的读法读出零以前的数字，再在后面加上hundred/thousand。例如：
1900(年) 读作: nineteen hundred
2000(年) 读作: two thousand
(3)美式英语与英式英语中日期的表示方法有所不同
①美式表示法:月/日/年; 读法:月+(the)日+年；例如：
December 1, 1955 读作: December (the) first nineteen fifty-five 1955年12月1日
②英式表示法:日/月/年; 读法:the+日+of+月+年；例如：
6 September, 2014 读作: the sixth of September twenty fourteen 2014年9月6日
(4)表示某年代或某世纪的早期、中期或晚期时，可分别在定冠词the后加early、mid-或late。例如：
the early 20th：century20世纪早期
the mid-1980s：20 世纪80年代中期
the late 1980s：20世纪80年代末期
(5)B.C.表示公元前，写在年数之后；A.D.表示公元，一般写在年数之前，也可写在年数之后。例如:
221 B.C. 公元前221年
A.D. 1000/1000 A.D. 公元1000 年
