红双喜电饼铛功能键怎样用 Trump claws Sliwa with slashing, 4

President Donald Trump doesn’t think much of Curtis Sliwa, his fellow Republican who is running for mayor of New York City.

“I’m a Republican, but Curtis is not exactly primetime,” Trump said during an appearance on Friday on “Fox and Friends,” per the Daily News.

The president then slammed Sliwa for something very near and dear to Sliwa’s heart: his love of cats.

“He wants cats in Gracie Mansion,” Trump said. “We don’t need to he thousands of cats.”

Sliwa and his wife share their Upper East Side studio apartment with 15 rescue cats.

“New Yorkers care for people and for animals, and so do I,” Sliwa said in a statement. “As mayor, I will deliver a humane, affordable, and livable city by focusing on animal welfare, tackling affordability, cleaning up the city, improving quality of life, being tough on crime.”

Trump also predicted that Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani will win City Hall.

“I’m not looking at the polls too carefully, but it would look like he’s going to win,” Trump said. “And that’s a rebellion.”

The president said, “It’s also a rebellion against bad candidates, OK? It’s a rebellion. They’re tired of it.”

Trump called it “amazing” that a democratic socialist candidate like Mamdani is looking to be mayor of New York City, which is Trump’s hometown.

“I call him my little Communist. He’s my little Communist mayor,” said Trump, who hails from Queens. “But, you know, he has to come to Washington for money, a lot of money.”

Trump said that while Mamdani could still be beaten in a one-on-one battle, the current “bad” field of candidates isn’t leing voters with many alternatives.

In addition to Sliwa, Mayor Eric Adams and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo are running on independent party lines.

The president said that Cuomo, who was elected governor three times and also served as state attorney general, appeared to be the strongest candidate against Mamdani.

“He seems to be leading by a little bit, but he’s still way behind,” Trump said. “It almost looks like even one candidate at this point, is not going to work.”
