We moved Drudge Report’s AllSides Media Bias Rating™ from Lean Right to Center. An AllSides analysis found Drudge Report curates articles from sources on the left more than the center or the right, and a subsequent Editorial Review found much sensationalism in the story choices and word choices. AllSides found 49% of articles displayed on the news aggregator’s homepage over a two-week period were from media outlets on the left, 26% were from sources in the center, and 10% were from sources on the right. Fourteen percent were from outlets AllSides has not rated. Drudge Report fored the left in its curation, but AllSides chose to rate it Center after taking into account story choice and sensationalist headlines that appealed to a right-leaning audience. Drudge Report featured articles from The Washington Post (Lean Left), The Associated Press (Lean Left), and The Wall Street Journal (Center) the most often.
