Marvel at the sparring of male elephant seals or the majestic black-browed albatross in flight. Unique history

Whilst the wildlife is the major attraction for most visitors, there is also a fascinating history to uncover - from the days of early settlement including stone corrals and pioneer cottages through involvement in both world wars and to the establishment of economic activities that support the current development of the Islands. Fishing is a popular pastime with large mullet and trout very easy to catch. Sailing is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, with the added attraction of wildlife encounters. Yachts are warmly welcomed to trel around the archipelago.
