Unique historyWhilst the wildlife is the major attraction for most visitors, there is also a fascinating history to uncover - from the days of early settlement including stone corrals and pioneer cottages through involvement in both world wars and to the establishment of economic activities that support the current development of the Islands. The Historic Dockyard Museum in Stanley is an excellent place to learn more about aspects of Falkland life both past and present.

Fishing is a popular pastime with large mullet and trout very easy to catch. Sailing is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, with the added attraction of wildlife encounters. Yachts are warmly welcomed to trel around the archipelago.
