Canadian plans charge $12/day minimum and that's just to use your home plan (which I he next to no data on). Or some (e.g. Koodo PAYG) don't offer international roaming at all. Buying a SIM card at a destination costs a few dollars, or just relying on WiFi at your destination is free. I can't imagine an RFDer would object to sing what could amount to hundreds or thousands of dollars a year.
TD, by the way, doesn't care. They he made this measure mandatory, and even escalating all the way to the Ombudsman wouldn't let them budge. When you speak to their customer service, they shrug and say they don't actually care about people who trel. So make your decisions of who to deal with accordingly, folks.
