Russell is a NZ registered Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a leading global authority on the use of Stem Cells as it relates to facial regeneration and their use in neurological diseases of the cranial nerves. Russell trained in surgery at The University of Sydney, Sydney Hospital and undertook a research Fellowship in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.聽
He was appointed by The Royal Australian Ny as a Consulting Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and until recently was operating on their personnel.聽Russell has an active research career in Stem Cell Medicine and is appointed as a Google Scholar in this field. His research work is reflected in 78 scientific and medical publications.
His special interests are oral & maxillofacial surgery, regenerative medicine, pain management, neuroinflammation and biotechnology.
Socially, Russell likes time on his farm and is an id painter hing exhibited and sold art works at numerous exhibitions.
