Olympic medalist golden boy Neeraj Chopra, a jelin thrower from Panipat in Haryana, has a reception party scheduled for December 25. Two separate programs he been arranged at The Eden and Jannat Hall in Karnal.
A reception party has also been arranged at The Leela Hotel in Delhi on December 27. VIP guests will attend this event. This was confirmed by Neeraj's uncle Bhim Chopra in conversation with Dainik Bhaskar.
Neeraj Chopra and Himani More met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former President Ramnath Kovind and other major leaders on Tuesday to invite them to the party.

India PM Narendra Modi said that he interacted with the jelin throw superstar on various issues, including sports. Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, "Met Neeraj Chopra and his wife, Himani Mor at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg earlier today. Meanwhile, Neeraj Chopra said, "Thank you Shri @narendramodi ji for your time. Your vision and support towards sports is always motivating and encouraging for all us Indians."
Neeraj married tennis player Himani More from Sonipat on January 16, 2025. The wedding took place at a resort in Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
Reception Party Invitation...

In an interaction with a media channel, Neeraj Chopra said, “We already knew each other. The biggest reason for this was that her family has a sports background. Himani’s father was a kabaddi player. Her brother is a wrestler and a boxer. Himani herself was also a tennis player.
However, due to an injury, Himani decided to focus more on her studies. When I started jelin throw, my family also became a sports family. Because of this, our families used to meet on many occasions. I also spoke to Himani as a fellow athlete. Then we felt that we could stay together, and that is why we decided to get married.”
Neeraj became a Lieutenant Colonel on October 22
Two months ago, on October 22, Neeraj Chopra was appointed as an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army. He was conferred the rank at an investiture ceremony in Delhi by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi. On this occasion, his mother, Saroj Devi, father Satish Chopra, uncle Bhim Chopra, and wife Himani Mor were also present.
Neeraj Chopra joined the Indian Army on August 26, 2016, as a Naib Subedar. In 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Subedar. After winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, he was awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal by the Army. In 2022, Neeraj was promoted to the rank of Subedar Major.
