Perry enjoyed one of the greatest runs of all time for several years thanks to her early career albums like One of the Boys, Teenage Dream, and Prism and the many hits featured on their tracklists… but her most recent full-lengths he not performed nearly as well. Perry’s 2024 project 143 underperformed dramatically, and “Bandaids” is an upbeat, catchy attempt to move on from both that chapter as well as her recent split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom.
Perry has a difficult road ahead, as it is notoriously tough for pop musicians to change a negative narrative, but with “Bandaids” she is off to a fair start in the U.K. The track arrives on multiple tallies and even earns the Grammy nominee another top 10 hit as she introduces what could become a quick follow-up.
“Band Aids” Scores Katy Perry a New Top 10 Smash“Bandaids” launches inside the top 10 on one of the three rosters on which it debuts in the U.K. This frame, the tune starts at No. 10 on the Official Singles Downloads ranking, officially becoming a top 10 bestseller.
How Many Top 10 Hits Has Katy Perry Charted?Perry has now scored 21 top 10s on the Official Singles Downloads list, which ranks only the top-selling tunes on platforms like iTunes. She last sent a smash into that region in summer 2024 when “Woman’s World,” the lead single from 143, peaked at No. 6. Four of her bestsellers — “I Kissed a Girl,” “California Gurls” with Snoop Dogg, “Part of Me,” and “Roar” — reached No. 1.

As “Bandaids” arrives, Perry hits a milestone number of wins on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads tallies. “Bandaids” marks her twenty-fifth win on the all-style, all-format sales list and her fortieth on the Official Singles Downloads chart.

Perry’s latest debuts at No. 61 on the Official Singles chart, which is compiled using a methodology that blends both purchases and streaming activity. Since “Bandaids” does not make it to the Official Streaming ranking, it is likely longtime supporters buying the cut that are largely responsible for its placement.
Katy Perry May Be Planning a New Music ChapterFor the moment, “Bandaids” is not attached to any album, and Perry has not revealed whether she will re-release 143 (again), let the song stand alone, or if she is already hard at work on her next full-length. It is possible that she has a lot more music on the way, or perhaps she is simply hoping that “Band Aids” would serve as something of a palette cleanser.
Katy Perry’s 143 and Global Tour143, which was released in September 2024, arrived four years after Smile. In the U.K., none of the four singles pushed from the project reached the top 40. “Woman’s World,” which stalled at No. 47, came closest. “Lifetimes,” the second cut promoted, only climbed to No. 89, while both “I’m His, He’s Mine” with rapper Doechii and “OK” missed the mark entirely.
Perry is currently on her The Lifetimes Tour, which began in April in Mexico. The singer only has a few dates left in Asia and the Middle East before wrapping, at which point she may retreat for a while or continue to deliver new tunes from some upcoming project.
