This is a joint work with Atsuki Hiramatsu．

We investigate in detail the folding family of a regular surface in Euclidean 3-space, as introduced by Bruce and Wilkinson, which captures the infinitesimal reflectional symmetry of the surface. In particular, we provide criteria of singularity types of the folding map using double point locus, and we derive several geometric conditions that ensure the A-versality of the folding family.

福井敏纯（Toshizumi Fukui）是日本埼玉大学的教授，在《Invent. Math.》, 《Proc. Lond. Math. Soc.》，《Topology》和《SIAM J. Optim.》等著名学术期刊上发表过关于奇点理论、代数几何、实分析和复分析等方面的系列学术成果，是国际奇点理论界的著名学者，曾任日本数学会《数学》杂志主编和日本埼玉大学理学研究科科长。
