2) Boston Red Sox
After trading away Rafael Devers last year and losing Alex Bregman to free agency, the Boston Red Sox he a gaping hole in the middle of their lineup. Their need grew even more desperate after losing out on Kyle Schwarber and Pete Alonso. They he options in the infield, with Trevor Story as the shortstop, but Bo Bichette will be an offensive upgrade at second base. The Red Sox would most certainly pivot to Bichette if they cannot re-sign Bregman.
1) Toronto Blue JaysAlthough a return is starting to look increasingly unlikely, the Toronto Blue Jays still seem the most plausible destination for Bo Bichette next year. Bichette has posted at least 175 base hits, including 30 doubles, in four of his seven seasons with the team. Bringing the two-time All-Star back to their clubhouse seems the next logical step after offering fellow homegrown superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a 14-year, $500 million contract extension.
