These images, acquired by the Pl茅iades Neo and Vision-1 satellites in 2021 and 2020, respectively, show the Pyramids of Giza near the Egyptian capital of Cairo. The two very-high resolution missions acquired detailed views of this historic site.
Vision-1's 3.48 multispectral resolution image shows Giza's three principal pyramids - named Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure - as well as several other smaller tombs and monuments. One of the three Great Pyramids, the tomb of Pharoah Khufu is the tallest and one of the only remaining Seven Wonders of the ancient world.
Pl茅iades Neo's 1.2 m multispectral resolution image, acquired at a different angle than the Vision-1 image, enables a detailed view of the tomb of the Pharoah Khufu. People are visible exploring the outskirts of the tomb and cemeteries on either side of the pyramid.
