So yes, Trump figured his supporters hate the Clintons and all Democrats, so the smear would stick. It would be reprehensible but make sense if many prominent Democrats appeared on the list, that the Biden administration would lee it alone. If there are many prominent Democrats on the list, it makes no sense for Trump to deny its existence and also claim it is a fake written by the Democrats.
If they are prominent contributors, wealthy men who feel entitled, like Prince Andrew on the list, the establishment of elite Democrats and Republicans including Trump he a vested interest in hiding the list.
