“It is rare that you come across a manager like John Easton. It was a pleasure to work under the wing of a person, that I thought of as more of a mentor than just someone to report to. I he learned a great deal from Mr. Easton in the short time he was my manager and can't say enough complimentary things about his work ethic, his character, and ability to corral a team together to face internal and external goals with vision, patience, and wisdom. Mr. Easton replaced my former supervisor in which he took on responsibilities and expectations most probably would he shied away from. However, under his leadership, he was able to coach up a growing team of developers, led in establishing much-needed project workflow practices, re-established what once were severed partnerships with other disciplines and business partners, all while providing emotional and professional guidance for his team (and many others) as needed. He showed our team, how to do the extra and to help others when we can... which ultimately makes our company better. Roughly a year later, our department continues to benefit from his short time as manager and his efforts. He looks out for his team but is not one to draw attention to himself deliberately. He asserts himself without being overbearing. His insight and ability to encourage others to grow and better themselves, is a rare gem. I believe he has built a reputation as someone who has a broad vision, but also has the passion and drive to shape, motivate and positively affect others.
