It leaked past the seal no matter what I did. Someone recommended i use electrical tape on the threads but thats not something I really want to add, not sure if the chemicals and microplastics from the tape will leach into my water. Finally got it tight enough to seal and all was good till I went to replace it again today. I wet the seal to help it slide like you would an oil filter and started tightening it down.
