Remixing and #FreeToEditPSX community members who want other users to edit their work can add the hashtag “FreeToEdit” to their photos (“#FreeToEdit”). This creates a collaborative, creative environment for everyone to thrive in while using material with rightsholder permission. Tag your images with #FreeToEdit to be a part of the collaborative community of creatives and give others a license to create derivative works of your work. When a #FreeToEdit work is collaboratively edited, the resulting image is a “remix”. When a remix is made from your image, attribution and credit is always linked back to you.
To foster an environment of creativity for all, the “Allow Remix” option is automatically enabled during the sharing process. If you do not wish to allow remixing, simply turn off this option in the menu before posting. You can also delete any of your own images that he been previously remixed by nigating to your profile in the app, selecting the image, and tapping “Delete” from the 3-button options menu.
As always, be respectful and help maintain a positive, supportive culture and do not repost to other social channels or networks without the express permission of the original creator.
