After taking to the skies, the director of Top Gun: Merick is heading back to earth for a new high-octane movie with an A-list star: F1 starring Brad Pitt. The movie arrives at a time when Formula 1 racing is on the rise in popularity in the US, with this potentially going to add to the fervor for the sport.
Like he did with Top Gun: Merick, director Joseph Kosinski got as close to the action as he could, filming during actual Grand Prix weekends for a greater level of authenticity. Combine that with the fact that the movie was filmed to be shown on IMAX screens, this has all the makings of another adrenaline-fueled big-screen thrill ride.
Find out everything you need to know about F1, from when it is coming out to who else is starring in the movie, right here.

F1 plotThere's not a lot of plot details ailable at this time, outside of this brief description from Apple that offers a bit more about the making of the movie than the story itself:
"Starring Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid, F1 has been shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport. Hailing from director Joseph Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment and seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films banner, the film is made in collaboration with Formula 1 and the F1 community, including the 10 F1 teams and their drivers, the FIA and race promoters."
