A while back, we paused granting verified badges to experience contributors due to reports about group owners selling the verification badge. Please keep in mind that selling the verified badge will lead to Roblox revoking your status and potentially result in moderation action on your account.
We’re sharing an update about our verified badge requirements for experiences. As of today, we he updated the requirements on this page to the following:
Before: You are an owner of an experience with playtime exceeding 1M hours in the last 90 days. Updated Requirements: You are an owner or he a 10%+ automatic group payout of an experience with >1M playtime hours in the last 90 days.Over the coming weeks, you will see Roblox granting the verification badge to contributors who meet the updated requirements.

FAQs What is the definition of “10% automatic group payout” for eligibility?This refers to being listed as receiving a 10% or greater recurring per-experience payout within the group that owns the eligible experience.
Does the required 10% payout need to be an automatic payout, or can it be a manual/direct payout?It must be the automatic per-experience payout. Manual or direct payouts do not qualify.
Must the 10% automatic payout be calculated from the whole group’s revenue, or from the specific eligible experience’s revenue?The automatic payout must come directly from the revenue of the specific eligible experience.
Does the Developer Exchange (DevEx) process, or the bank account used for DevEx, affect eligibility for the Verified Badge?No, Verified Badge eligibility is calculated solely based on the group payout percentages, not the DevEx process or the destination bank account.
Do co-owners of an eligible group or experience who do not he an automatic group payout qualify for the Verified Badge?To be eligible, the user must be the single owner user of the group that owns the experience or he a 10% or greater automatic per-experience group payout set up. Co-ownership without an automatic payout does not qualify.
Are there plans for future alternative eligibility criteria for other contributors (e.g., active commissioners, plugin developers)?There are no immediate plans for alternatives. The current criteria of being the experience owner or hing a 10% automatic group payout are the only methods for eligibility.
If I change my display name, will I automatically be re-granted the badge?Just as before, users must retain the same display name as when they were first granted the badge. The only way to regain the badge in this case is to revert the name to the original one and contact Roblox Support to receive the badge again.
