After ample teasing, K. Michelle is saddling up for a ride to the top of Country charts thanks to a high-profile new deal in Music City!
With her final R&B album, ‘I’m the Problem,’ nearing its one-year anniversary, K. Michelle is finally ready to fully lee the genre in her rearview.
Evidence of this came courtesy of news the singer-actress-TV personality recently signed with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville to help propel her long-teased foray into Country.
“When we first met K. Michelle, she radiated her passion for country music. It’s the fabric of who she is because the lyrics represent truth. She’s built an incredible fanbase with her unique vocals anchored with storytelling at its heart and that is what transcends genres,” said Katie Kerkhover, VP, A&R at BMG.
Michelle echoed the sentiment.
“I he been ready. I am grateful for this moment,” shared K. Michelle. “Rebels and Real Outlawz, it’s time! I am excited and want to thank my BMG Team. I am happy to finally sing the music I grew up on. I am a country girl at heart and can’t wait to share my country music with you.”
At the time of this report it’s not been confirmed when the award-winning singer’s fans will get the true first taste of her Country music, but she’s said to be hard-at-work on the project and even finalizing plans for an accompanying tour.
