The Noël au Théâtre Festival, focusing on theatre and dance for young audiences in French-speaking Belgium, was created in 1982 at the initiative of the companies of the Chamber of Theatres for Children and Youth. Since then, it aims to bring together young and old, audiences and programmers from Belgium and abroad, to discover the theatrical creations for young audiences and the unique artistic approaches of the companies that create them.

The FCKNYE Festival, the world’s biggest New Year’s event, returns on December 30 and 31, 2025 — and for the first time, on January 1, 2026. The event takes place at Brussels Expo, welcoming over 67,000 attendees from around the world. More than 110 artists will perform across the festival’s five stages.
The FCKNYE Festival – the world’s biggest New Year’s festival – returns on December 30 and 31, 2025, and for the very first time, on January 1, 2026. After gathering 55,000 festival-goers in 2024, the event is once again taking place at Brussels Expo and this year welcomes more than 67,000 participants from around the world, representing over 50 nationalities. More than 110 artists will perform across the festival’s 5 stages, set on an 80,000 m² site entirely dedicated to celebration and an immersive New Year’s experience. On December 30 and 31, the doors will be open from 5 PM to 6 AM, while the January 1 daytime event runs from 1 PM to 1 AM, closing this 14th edition in spectacular fashion.

With more than 70 Belgian and international exhibitors, a focus on Spain, and the presentation of nearly 200 artists, ceramic brussels is open to the world—surprising, monumental, and bold. This year, Elmar Trenkwalder will be the Guest of Honour at the 3rd edition of ceramic brussels 2026. He follows the American artist Elizabeth Jaeger, Guest of Honour in 2025. For its third edition, ceramic brussels welcomes Spain as Guest of Honour and highlights the vitality and diversity of its ceramic scene as part of EUROPALIA ESPAÑA 2025–26. On this occasion, several Spanish galleries will be present.

Son.Oor (fka La Semaine du Son / De Week van de Klank) will take place in Brussels from January 26th to February 1st, 2026.
Created in Belgium in 2011, La Semaine du Son.Oor is a social event that awakens our curiosity, amazement, and expectations in the field of sound. More than just a festival, the events, conferences, screenings, broadcasts, sound installations, and concerts are accompanied by an educational and participatory aspect. The event is part of an international movement, initiated by Christian Hugonnet in Paris, which aims to raise public awareness of the importance of the quality of the sound environment in the fulfillment of individual and community life. Since 2020, Les Semaines du Son has been placed under the auspices of UNESCO. The 16th Belgian edition will take place in Brussels between January 26 and February 1, and the following week, from February 2 to 8, 2026, in several locations in Flanders and Wallonia. All events are free of charge. Sound Week.Oor offers a new opportunity to present creations and research in an unusual setting outside the traditional circuits. “Sound laboratories” where creativity, experimentation, encounters, and awareness are at the heart of the action, allow people to discover different aspects of sound in an accessible way.

Beauty and Ugliness in the Renaissance
Beauty and ugliness he always fascinated people, yet their meanings shift over time. Bellezza e Bruttezza explores how artists from Italy and Northern Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries depicted these extremes, from refined ideals to deliberate grotesques. A rare opportunity to see extraordinary works, some appearing in Belgium for the first and only time. The exhibition traces how the standards of beauty and ugliness evolved from the last quarter of the 15th century to the end of the 16th century—key transitional periods—by juxtaposing in a rich and compelling confrontation the ways in which these two subjects were interpreted by the greatest Italian artists and their counterparts from Northern Europe. Beauty became an increasingly important social concern at this time, as shown by the rising number of 16th-century publications offering “recipes for looking beautiful” and advice on cosmetics and care. Meanwhile, ugliness also grew in prominence in art, appearing in a widening range of forms throughout the same period. Discover remarkable works by renowned artists such as Botticelli, Titian, Tintoretto, Cranach the Elder, Massys, and many others.

An essential annual event spread over three weekends, the tenth edition of the Brussels Art Nouveau Art Deco Festival will be held on 14 & 15, 21 & 22 and 28 & 29 March 2026. The BANAD festival is an invitation to discover remarkable locations showcasing Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture in the Brussels Region.
Taking place over three weekends (14 & 15, 21 & 22, and 28 & 29 March 2026) and covering three areas of the Brussels Region, the BANAD Festival offers an varied programme consisting of interior visits (around sixty, some of which are accessible for the very first time), guided thematic tours on foot or by bicycle, unique conferences, inclusive and family activities, and finally the famous Object Fair and Restaurateurs & Experts Fair. On the menu for interior visits: the “Essentials” (must-sees that you he to see at least once in your life), the “Classics” (some of which, such as public buildings, schools and museums, are regularly open to visitors but not from an architectural heritage perspective), the ‘New’ (never before open to the BANAD public) and finally the ‘Previously New’ (new additions from previous years, rescheduled for visitors who may he missed them during the last editions of the festival).
