Outlook will introduce a Copilot chat feature to summarize emails with one click, ailable to Microsoft 365 Copilot license users across all platforms by November 2025. It requires no admin setup, respects existing policies, and aims to se users time and improve focus.
Introduction
We’re introducing a new way to quickly summarize emails using Copilot chat in Outlook. With a single click, users can generate concise summaries of email content, helping them stay focused and se time. This feature supports both Classic and New Outlook for Windows and is ailable to users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and pinning enabled.

No action is required. You may choose to inform users about the new summarization capability. If desired, update internal documentation to reflect the ailability of this feature. The feature will be ailable across Android, Desktop, iOS, Mac, Web, and both Classic and New Outlook for Windows. No admin configuration is required; the feature is enabled by default for eligible users. Existing policies are respected; no changes to admin controls are needed.Compliance considerations:
