There are different ways to remove apps and programs, so if you can't find the one you're looking for, you can try another location.聽Note that some apps and programs are built into Windows and can't be uninstalled.聽You can try to repair a program first, if it's just not running correctly.
Uninstall from the Start menu
Select聽Start > All apps and search for the app in the list shown.
Press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select Uninstall.
Uninstall in Settings聽
Select Start >聽Settings聽 > Apps聽> Installed apps聽.
Find the app聽you want to remove, select More聽聽> Uninstall.
Note:聽Some apps can't be uninstalled from the Settings app right now. For help uninstalling these apps, follow the instructions to uninstall from Control Panel. 聽
Uninstall from Control Panel聽
In search on the taskbar, enter聽Control Panel and select it from the results.
Select Programs >聽Programs and Features.
Press and hold (or right-click) on the program you want to remove and select Uninstall聽or Uninstall/Change. Then聽follow the directions on the screen.

After October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10. Your PC will still work, but we recommend moving to Windows 11.
