If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on a Staccato in California without going through hoops, here’s the good news: the HD P4 is now officially on the California Handgun Roster and ailable for sale. Same performance and reliability the HD line is known for — just now built to meet California’s legal requirements.
Getting on the roster isn’t easy. California requires a pistol to go through some pretty intense testing — think drop tests, firing protocols, and a few specific features. Per CADOJ requirements, the California-compliant P4 is equipped with a loaded chamber indicator and a modified magazine catch that is not reversible. Staccato made those tweaks without messing with the core performance, so it still feels and shoots like a proper 2011.
So, What’s Different About the California Version? To meet the state’s requirements, the CA-compliant P4 has a few changes:
Loaded chamber indicator Modified, non-reversible magazine catch DLC-coated bull barrel Trijicon Tritium front night sight Ships with three 10-round Glock-pattern mags
The Staccato HD P4 is ready for California’s trails, coastlines, and mountaintops.
What Stays the Same?
