"We cam here to make Anaconda – now we are in it!" 🐍 Sony Pictures has debuted one final official trailer for their new Anaconda remake, a dumb action comedy in theaters Christmas Day. The original Anaconda is a 90s classic, a totally ridiculous action movie starring JLo & Ice Cube that is unintentionally funny but also quite scary. This remake is going full-on with humor and a wacky meta concept. Two friends are going through a mid-life crisis – so they decide to remake their forite movie but encounter unexpected events when they enter the jungle. Things get real when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. Starring Paul Rudd & Jack Black as Griff & Doug, with Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, & Selton Mello. The way they're promoting this movie and the fact these trailers are so strange makes me think this will be absolutely terrible. But it'll make some people laugh and they're hoping that's enough for it to make a bit of box office money. What do you think?
Here's the final official trailer (+ poster) for Tom Gormican's movie Anaconda, from Sony's YouTube:

Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) he been best friends since they were kids, and he dreamed of remaking their all-time forite movie: the cinematic "classic" Anaconda. 🐍 When a midlife crisis pushes them to finally go for it, they head deep into the Amazon to start filming. But things get "real" when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic set into a very deadly situation. The movie they're dying to make? It might just get them killed Anaconda is directed by American writer / producer / filmmaker Tom Gormican, director of the films That Awkward Moment and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent previously. The screenplay is by Tom Gormican & Kevin Etten. Produced by Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Kevin Etten, and Tom Gormican. Sony Pictures will debut the Anaconda remake in theaters nationwide starting Thursday, December 25th, 2025, on Christmas Day, later this year. Look any good?
