I recently got a box of pocket watches at a garage sale, one of which I’ve never heard of before. Good looking thing, full-hunter style with hunting scenes on the front and back (I’ll get a picture up eventually if there are any responses). On the face is some floral stuff and the words -
Ever Swiss Shock resistant 17 Jewels Swiss Made
Now, based on the number of Arabic language sites that come up when I Google this, I suspect it’s not in fact “Swiss Made” and wonder if this is a fake or just cheap.
I didn’t get ripped off, regardless of what it turns out to be, got a Colibri and Rapport with it, both of which are probably Chinese movements but I didn’t spend much for the three.
What is the question, you rightfully ask? Is “EverSwiss” a real company, is it in fact a Swiss made movement, is it worth the $30 I spent on it?*
I realize the last answer is, of course “it’s worth what someone will pay for it”
