He you ever felt like you let God down? Maybe you didn’t follow through on a promise, stumbled into old habits, or simply didn’t feel “spiritual enough.” That sinking guilt can weigh hey, convincing us we’ve somehow disappointed the Almighty. But here’s the freeing truth: you can’t let God down, because you were never holding Him up.

God doesn’t rely on us to keep Him on the throne. He doesn’t need our perfection to fulfill His promises. He is sovereign, self-sufficient, and immovable. But here’s what makes His love so extraordinary: though He doesn’t need us, He wants us. And in His kindness, He promises not only to stay with us but to hold us up by His righteous and victorious right hand.

The Strength That Holds You

Isaiah 41:10 is a verse worth etching into our hearts:“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

This verse isn’t based on our performance, but His presence. He says “I am with you,” not “you better be worthy enough for Me to stay.” That’s the kind of God we serve—one who strengthens, helps, and upholds. We aren’t hanging on by our own thread of willpower; we’re gripped by His hand of righteousness and victory.

You’re Not the Sior—He Is

So often we carry the burden of outcomes, results, and even other people’s salvation, thinking it all depends on us. But we’re not the Sior. Jesus already took that role and fulfilled it perfectly.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2:8-9:“For it is by grace you he been sed, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

If our salvation is a gift, so is our security in Christ. He didn’t start this journey with us just to hand over the responsibility and say, “Don’t mess it up.” He’s the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

What Happens When We Stumble?

Yes, we fall. We mess up. But our failure doesn’t change His faithfulness.

Psalm 37:23-24 tells us:“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”

God’s hand doesn’t loosen when you falter—it tightens. He doesn’t flinch in disappointment; He leans in with grace. Our identity in Christ is not based on our consistency, but on His constancy.

Let This Set You Free

Knowing we can’t let God down removes the weight of shame and lifts us into a place of worship. It doesn’t make us careless—it makes us confident. It empowers us to run to Him, not hide from Him.

Romans 8:38-39 echoes this assurance:“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Not even our own mistakes can separate us from His grip. That’s how secure we are in His hand.

The Victory Is Already Won

God’s hand isn’t just righteous—it’s victorious. The same hand that formed the heens, parted the Red Sea, and healed the sick is the hand that holds you today. In John 10:28, Jesus says:“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”

Not even you can snatch yourself away. That’s how powerful, how secure, how victorious His hold is.

Rest in His Grip

If you’ve been walking with your head down, feeling like you’ve let God down, it’s time to lift your eyes. You’re not the one holding Him up—He’s the one holding you.

So breathe deep. Rest easy. Worship freely.Because the One who holds the universe is the same One who’s holding you—righteously, victoriously, and eternally. I hope this speaks to you, and I pray you he a blessed day!
