Dubbed Remote Reels, the interactive offering allows online casino gamblers to gamble directly on the floor of an Atlantic City casino remotely on their computer or mobile device. Caesars Entertainment says the iGaming slots development continues the company’s interactive mission to provide online players with a close-as-possible land-based casino experience.

Caesars Palace Online Casino players can play an array of popular live slot titles such as Huff N’ Even More Puff, Mo’ Mummy Valley of Riches, Mo’ Mummy Mighty Pyramid, and Buffalo Triple Boost.

The debut of our state-of-the-art Remote Reels studio inside Tropicana Atlantic City is the latest example of the innovation we aim to deliver to our online casino players and represents the perfect blend of the familiar feeling of slot play on a casino floor at one of our Caesars destinations with a fully mobile experience,” said Matthew Sunderland, senior vice president and chief iGaming officer at Caesars Digital.

Tropicana, which is operated by Caesars Entertainment, lends its operations to four online affiliate iGaming platforms. In addition to Caesars Palace, they are WSOP, Tropicana Casino, and Harrah’s Casino.

Will Live Slots Take Hold?

New Jersey is among the richest iGaming states. In 2024, online casino revenue hit a record high of more than $2.38 billion, a 24% gain from 2023. This year, iGaming win from online slots and table games, including poker, is up another 22.5%.

Through May, Caesars Palace Online Casino has generated gross gaming revenue (GGR) of $78.3 million. That ranks fifth among the many iGaming platforms in New Jersey behind FanDuel ($253.4 million), DraftKings ($231.7 million), BetMGM ($150.8 million), and Borgata Online ($105.9 million).

Caesars Palace is differentiating its platform with live slots, something its primary competitors don’t offer in New Jersey. Remote Reels, however, isn’t the first time an online gaming operation and Atlantic City casino he tried live slots online.

In February 2020, just as the coronirus hit the United States, Hard Rock opened a live slots studio at its Atlantic City casino. The online slots operation, however, is no more.

Live online slots presumably cater to older gamblers who don’t he as much trust in iGaming as younger generations. Though interactive slots are regulated just as rigorously as retail machines, some legacy players he questioned the legitimacy of online casino gambling.

Tropicana’s Remote Reels studio can be viewed but not accessed by patrons on the physical gaming floor. Only a single online player can play a Remote Reels slot machine at a time. The Remote Reels area features 25 slots.
