There are currently two different ways to get access to Prime Video. You can choose to get it bundled with an Amazon Prime subscription or you can opt for the standalone plan. Within each of these subscription plans, you can choose to pay an additional fee for ad-free streaming.

You can choose to get Prime Video without ads on any of the Amazon Prime subscription plans for an additional $2.99 per month. This same monthly fee also applies to the annual plans, so you won't get a discount on the ad-free option by choosing to pay yearly.

Free Trials Available

There are a couple of Amazon Prime free trials ailable that can get you access. There's the standard 30-day free trial of the service as well as 6-month free trial ailable for young adults. Both options waive the subscription fee but will automatically start payments as soon as the trial period is over.

To be eligible for the Prime Student free trial, you don't technically need to be a student. Amazon will offer this subscription to anyone between the ages of 18 and 24 as long as you can prove your age. You can also get access outside of that age range with a relevant student ID.

The standalone Prime Video subscription is only ailable as monthly plan. It does offer access to everything on Prime Video, but without the added membership benefits you'd get from a full Amazon Prime subscription. There aren't any free trials ailable for the standalone Prime Video plan, so you'll need to get the full Amazon Prime membership if you want to try it out without paying anything.
